... or was it "Jumped BY the Shark"???

To this day I am still confused by Joel Schumacher....
I mean both of "his" bat films were more lighthearted and funnier etc....but it isn't like the man can't direct in a darker more serious tone and style.....
Just look at 8mm or Falling Down...both dark, serious dramas.....both (atleast in my opinion) good movies...
He is this generation's John Frankenheimer who can make GREAT movies like The Birdman of Alcatraz or The Manchurian Candidate but years later does stuff like Prophecy and the Island of Dr. Moreau...WTF?!?!?!
With Christopher Nolan directing a cast that includes Christian Bale, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Liam Neeson, AND Michael Caine, I don't know how a fan of movies in general wouldn't be anticipating Batman Begins.
As far as the costume's concerned, I like what little I can make out. Rumor has it we'll see a better, more revealing pic of the costume soon.
Can't wait.
Looks...puffy.
And I didn't really dislike Batman Forever, but B&R was crap.
And I actually really disliked Batman Returns. The Penguin character was terrible. The antithesis of what he should have been.
